Soliflore or floral bouquet: how do they differ?

In perfumery, floral essences like rose, orange blossom, jasmine, peony and ylang-ylang can be crafted in one of two ways, either as a soliflore or as a floral bouquet.

A soliflore perfume is a fragrance dominated by a single flower. A floral bouquet combines several flowers to create a richer, more nuanced perfume.

Floral notes most often sit at the heart of the olfactory pyramid. They take over once the top notes fade, revealing themselves on the skin for several hours.

The finest flowers in perfumery

Rose is the most iconic flower in perfumery. Both romantic and refined, it captivates and inspires through the richness of its trail. Rose is gradually shedding its classic image to become a more
modern, intense and even seductive ingredient.
